1. Terms of Use
1.1 The service
ConstantGraph is a website that helps you log, visualise and analyse smart‑home and IoT data. We may provide integrations with third‑party platforms to allow you to import data into ConstantGraph.
1.2 Your account
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials,
- all activity under your account,
- keeping your account information accurate.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact contact@constantgraph.com .
1.3 Acceptable use
You must not:
- use ConstantGraph for unlawful activities,
- attempt to access other users’ accounts or data,
- interfere with or disrupt the service (including automated abuse, probing, or denial‑of‑service),
- upload or transmit malware or harmful code,
- use the service to impersonate others, misrepresent identity, or facilitate phishing/social engineering,
- scrape or harvest data in a way that is abusive or violates applicable law.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are creating risk to the service or other users.
1.4 Integrations and third‑party services
If you connect ConstantGraph to a third‑party platform (for example, a smart‑home hub/service), you authorise ConstantGraph to access the data and permissions you grant through that platform.
Third‑party services are controlled by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their availability, features, or outages. You can typically revoke access via the third party’s settings.
1.5 Subscriptions, pricing and payments
ConstantGraph may offer subscription access where you choose the amount you pay.
- Payment processing: Payments are handled by third‑party payment providers. ConstantGraph does not store full payment card details.
- Billing: Your subscription access and/or limits may depend on your current subscription status and amount.
- Changes & cancellation: You can cancel or change your subscription through the relevant billing interface (or by contacting us if you cannot access the billing flow).
- Refunds: Unless required by law, fees are generally non‑refundable. If you believe there has been an error, contact contact@constantgraph.com .
Important: Some subscription changes may affect data retention or feature limits. Where this applies, we will aim to show it clearly in the UI and/or plan information.
1.6 Availability and changes
We aim to keep ConstantGraph available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service (for example, to improve performance, fix bugs, comply with law, or address security issues).
1.7 Your data and licence to operate the service
You retain your rights to the data you submit or import. You grant ConstantGraph a licence to host, process, and display that data solely to provide and improve the service.
1.8 Intellectual property
ConstantGraph’s website, software, design and branding are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse engineer, sell, or redistribute the service except where permitted by law.
1.9 Disclaimers
ConstantGraph is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that:
- graphs/analysis will be error‑free,
- the service will meet your needs,
- third‑party integrations will always function.
1.10 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, ConstantGraph is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
If you have paid for a subscription, ConstantGraph’s total liability for claims relating to the service will be limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for fraud).
1.11 Termination
You may stop using ConstantGraph at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to protect the service, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
1.12 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.
2. Privacy
2.1 We only ask for what we need
We take your privacy very seriously and as a principle we only request information that is needed for providing the services. We do not share this information with other companies, except where essential for providing the services as outlined below. We do not sell your data to other companies.
2.2 What data we collect
ConstantGraph collects the following data:
- Your email address
- Your IP address when you access the web site
- The pages that you visit when you use our web site
- data about the types of requests you make
We do not request or hold other personally identifiable information such as your address. We may also collect the following data, if you chose to provide it
- Your time zone and approximate location
- Information about your energy tariff
2.3 Information collected from the integrations
The following information is collected via our integrations (with Vera, SmartThings or our API) when you chose to connect one or more devices via our service.
- The names of any device hubs and devices that are connected
- Data from the devices connected. The exact data depends upon the type of device but is limited to the data types described on the Data > Types menu of the web site.
- We only collect data on the status of a device and do not process data such as audio or video recordings.
- If connecting to the site via the API (or the Vera integration which uses the API) then the information collected will be limited to that described on the Help > Data API page of our web site.
By using our integration services, you agree to us collecting information about your devices. ConstantGraph is only able to collect data on your devices and is not able to control them.
The API calls used by ConstantGraph return information about every time a device changes.
All of the data is collected is via the APIs provided by the integrations and APIs. ConstantGraph is not able to request data from your hub directly.
2.4 Information collected from payments
We use Ko-fi to integrate with third-party payment systems for the purpose of collecting donations. The following information is collected when you chose to make a donation via the Ko-fi payment service.
- Your email address
- The date and time of the donation
- The amount and currency of the donation
- The type of donation (e.g. whether it was a subscription or not)
- Any message you chose to provide
- The last 4 digits of any credit card used
We do not have access to any further payment details from Ko-fi and we do not provide any data to Ko-fi about our users. ConstantGraph do not provide any data to Ko-fi about our users. Ko-fi provides information about donations to ConstantGraph and this information is used for financial accounting and may also be used to message users of the website about their subscription status. Depending upon the donations made by a user we may choose to upgrade or downgrade a user’s subscription level. Ko-fi’s privacy policy is available here: https://more.ko-fi.com/privacy
2.5 How we use your data
We collect your email address so that we can contact you about your usage of the site. We may from time to time use your email address to seek feedback on the services we provide or contact you about issues about your account that we may have identified. We will not provide your email address to other companies.
2.6 Analytics data
We use the Google Analytics service to gather statistical information about the usage of our web site. We do not pass your email address on to Google Analytics however, we do provide an anonymous unique identifier so we can identify how many users are using the site and how the site is used by an individual. When you use the web site and make a request for your data or update settings within a site, our servers record your IP address. We use your IP address to identify which countries our users are in. 2.7 Location information
If you chose to provide your location via the account settings, we will use this to calculate the sunrise and sunset times in your region. If you chose to provide your energy tariff information, we will use this to calculate the cost of your energy usage. We provide this information back on any graphs you may build. This information is not used for any other purpose.
2.8 How we store your data
We use MongoDB Atlas to securely process and store your data. MongoDB are an industry leading provider of secure Database As A Service. MongoDB’s privacy policy is available here: https://www.mongodb.com/legal/privacy-policy .
2.9 Where your data is stored
The data is stored on servers based in the USA and Ireland (which is part of the European Union). By using the site, you confirm that your country allows for your personal data to be stored in these countries.
2.10 How long your data is stored for
Depending upon your subscription level your data will be retained for different periods of time. This is described on the homepage of our web site. In some circumstances, data may be hidden but retained by the servers for up to a week longer than the times mentioned for the purposes of retrieving accidently deleted data.
You may delete all of your data by using the Delete all data feature available from the account page. This process will not delete the existence of your account. To do this please contact us on the details below.
2.11 Marketing
We do not pass your data on to any other company for the purposes of marketing. We may from time to time choose to send you emails for our own marketing purposes. You may opt out of this by sending us an email to the contact address below.
2.12 Your data protection rights
ConstantGraph would like to make you fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right to access copies of your personal data.
- The right to request a correction to any personal data you believe to be inaccurate.
- The right to request that we erase your personal data.
- The right to request that we restrict the processing your personal data
- The right to object to us processing your personal data
- The right to request a transfer of the data to you or another organisation
2.13 Cookies
ConstantGraph uses cookies and other similar technologies to store information about you on your web browser. By using the service you consent to the use of these cookies. Some of this information is shared with third-parties as follows:
- Ko-fi ( Payment Services) for maintaining the user session and collecting statistical information about their users
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) - for the purposes of maintaining your log-in session
- Google Analytics – for recording site access logs to help improve the service
Other information is stored locally on your browser for the following purposes:
- A local copy of your data is stored on your browser to speed up the production of graphs and other data. You may clear this data by clicking Clear cache now on the account page
- Settings such as which channels you have selected, which graph types you have selected, which graph options you have selected and which table columns you have selected. The retention of this data is decided by your browser.
We do not store any cookies for the purposes of advertising.
3. Security
3.1 Security measures
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to help keep the information collected through the service secure and take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as:
- encryption in transit (HTTPS),
- access controls and least‑privilege practices,
- monitoring and logging to detect abuse,
- routine updates and patching.
- requesting a secure password
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
3.2 Keeping your account secure
Users are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their password and account information, at all times. Do not share your account details with anyone else. If you believe that your password has been disclosed then change it immediately using the facility provided in the site.
- Use a strong, unique password.
- Do not share credentials.
- Be cautious of phishing: ConstantGraph will not ask for your password by email.
